A little about Our Founder
Jovany Jimenez is an Aerospace Engineer from the University of Florida class of 2010. He also did graduate classes in Aeronautics Engineering at Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson school of Management class of 2016. He also holds a certified FAA part 107 license.
Jovany has worked in the development of drone technology for various companies since he was in college. He worked for Northrop Grumman, NASA, Honeywell, Rayhteon and DARPA. He also developed GNC and autonomous code for government agencies in the Department of Defense.
In 2014, Jovany and his film maker friend Gustavo from GP5 decided it would be cool to film the Hollywood sign with a stable quadcopter and a DSLR camera on a gimbal. Jovany quickly put a set-up together and DRONESURF was born.

Jovany has now flown over 10,000 hours of drone footage, worked in Feature films, documentaries and has traveled to more than 30+ countries with his drones. He is our lead pilot, founder and CEO.
